Matthew is responsible for intermediary and institutional business development for VanEck in Australia and Asia-Pacific. Matthew has over 30 years of experience in funds management, investment banking and commodities. Prior to joining VanEck, Matthew was general manager distribution for Perpetual Equities and senior product manager at IOOF and was previously with Rothschild, Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch in London. Matthew has a Bachelor of Business from Victoria University.

Nick is Director of business development with over 30 years of experience working across a diverse range of products including gearing, derivatives, alternative investments, and superannuation. Nick is results focused with an ability to tackle complex client requests by developing practical flexible solutions using both passive and active ETFs. Prior to VanEck, Nick has held roles which include working across complex structures in the Australian market as a State Sales Manager, Key Account Manager and Senior Business Development Manager.

John joined VanEck Australia in 2014 and has over 25 years of experience in the finance sector. He is an ETF expert and is regularly featured on AusBiz and podcasts like Equity Mates. He is responsible for the institutional and intermediary client business in New South Wales, Queensland and New Zealand. John previously worked at FTSE Group (Australia) as the Director of Business Development, and at the London Metal Exchange. John has a Bachelor of Business Science (Hons) in Finance from the University of Cape Town.

Damon joined VanEck in 2015 and is responsible for business development across the broker and financial planning channels in Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia. With more than 20 years' experience in financial services, Damon has worked in investment roles at AMP Capital and AXA. With deep experience in funds management and portfolio construction, his key focus is on taking quality, low cost investment solutions to investors. Damon has an MBA from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Economics from The University of Queensland.

Julian joined VanEck in 2017 and is responsible for business development across the broker and financial planning channels in New South Wales and the ACT. He has built strong, long-standing relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth advisers and stockbrokers across these channels.
Prior to joining VanEck, Julian worked in Private Client Advisory at Bell Potter Securities. He brings deep expertise in financial markets and asset management, supported by a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney, and a Professional Diploma in Stockbroking.

Danica is VanEck’s Business Development Manager for Western Australia looking after financial advisers and brokers. Prior to joining VanEck, Danica worked in the Fixed Income Market for seven years as a bond broker where she looked after a portfolio of Private clients and Financial Advisers helping them manage their bond portfolio. Danica has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and has furthered her studies with a Fundamentals of Corporate Credit Course from Moody’s Investor Services and the Investment Strategies and Portfolio Management Course from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Danica has also completed RG146 for Financial and Debt Markets.

Angus joined VanEck in 2020 and is responsible for business development in Queensland. In his role, he works closely with advisers to deliver investment insights and portfolio solutions across VanEck’s passive and active ETF range.
Prior to VanEck, Angus held a Partnerships role at Switzer Financial Group. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Business Economics) from The University of Queensland.

Claudia joined VanEck in 2020 and is responsible forSales Operations and Events. In her role, she oversees sales reporting, infrastructure and insights to support the Business Development team. She also leads the coordination of events. Prior to joining VanEck, Claudia worked in Portfolio Administration at Wellington Management. Claudia holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance & Business Law) from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).
