Jamie is responsible for portfolio management, trading and capital markets across all of VanEck Australia’s assets. He has over 25 years’ experience working in financial markets in Australia, Europe and the USA. Prior to joining VanEck, Jamie worked at Source ETFs in investment management and he held various financial market roles at ABN Amro, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Morgan Stockbroking and PwC. Jamie has a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Management Accounting) from the University of Newcastle and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.


Timothy joined VanEck in July 2012. He oversees governance operational infrastructure. Prior to joining VanEck, Timothy worked in BlackRock’s iShares division, where he was responsible for governance and business management of the iShares funds on the ASX. Timothy has deep on-exchange regulatory and operational experience. Previously Timothy worked for Bluestone Group and GE Money as team leader of corporate affairs. Timothy has a Master in Applied Finance from the University of Western Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance. He is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.


Saul joined VanEck in July 2021 and has over 12 years’ experience in financial services. Saul oversees risk management and compliance across VanEck’s Australian and Asia Pacific businesses. Prior to joining VanEck, Saul worked for Perpetual Limited. Saul has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Diploma of Financial Planning.


James joined VanEck in 2018 and has over 10 years’ experience in financial services. He oversees product strategy, development and lifecycle management across VanEck’s investment offering, including responsibility for new product development, product governance and the ongoing management of the firm’s ETF range. Prior to joining VanEck, James held roles at Macquarie Group and Zurich Financial Services Australia. James has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from the University of New South Wales.


Michael heads finance and regulatory affairs for VanEck's Australian and Asia Pacific businesses. Prior to joining VanEck, Michael held senior regulatory roles at Perpetual, MLC and BT as well as being a partner and CFO at boutique asset management advisory firm, Sunstone Partners. Michael is well-known in the industry for the role he has played in tax reform going back over three decades.


Nancy leads VanEck’s legal function and joined the firm in 2021. She has over 20 years’ legal experience across financial services, banking and finance, corporate and commercial, and capital markets. Prior to joining VanEck, Nancy practised at leading global law firms before moving in-house, including legal counsel roles at a global mobility and technology company and one of Australia’s largest private wealth managers. Nancy is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. She holds a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and Bachelor of Science from the University of Auckland.


Brad is responsible for building the VanEck brand in Australia. With over 25 years experience in asset management with marketing and operations roles at Aberdeen Asset Management, Deutsche Asset Management and Macquarie Group, Brad brings a unique perspective to VanEck. Brad has a Masters of Marketing from the University of New South Wales, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute and a Bachelor of Business from the University of Newcastle.


Vanessa leads the Australian business’ communications, media and digital strategies. With a background in experiential marketing, she brings more than a decade of global marketing and communications experience, having worked extensively in the arts and international education sectors. Vanessa has a Master of Marketing from the University of New South Wales and Bachelor of Communications from Western Sydney University.


Matthew is responsible for intermediary and institutional business development for VanEck in Australia and Asia-Pacific. Matthew has over 30 years of experience in funds management, investment banking and commodities. Prior to joining VanEck, Matthew was general manager distribution for Perpetual Equities and senior product manager at IOOF and was previously with Rothschild, Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch in London. Matthew has a Bachelor of Business from Victoria University.
